I am often amazed at why people are willing to pay more than 60.000€, give up jobs for 2 years, spend more than half a year doing exams (GMAT, TOEFL, essays..).. Doing a full-time MBA program requires a lot of sacrifice both from the personal and financial side.. Yet most of the brightest people from all around the world take on the challenge and go for an MBA.. There are many answers: a will to climb up the professional ladder, a will to change industry sector, a starving need to learn from the best faculties... I guess my reasons lie in a mix of desire to develop a strong business framework (as I am an Engineer..), develop a truly global network and at the end of the day being able fulfill my chances to succeed..

Brightest people also do PhD's, litterature or maths Doctorates, or simply, research.
MBA's are for the brightest of one sector, the business ambitious...
That's where are: you belong to those who put the means to reach their goals :-)
I'm asking myself...
Why, when you talk about MBA's, are you thinking about Full-Time MBA's always?
Part-Time or Executive MBA's are not worth?
They are worth the same!
It's just that I am pursuing a full-time.. Usually those who pursue a part-time do not spend so long preparing the application and they do not have to sacrifice their jobs.. but same applies for part-time :)
BTW, have you got a blog?
I agree with Jaime. I wondered exactly the same when I first read your post.
Eso Jaime, a ver si te haces un blog!
